- AGENCY ADMINISTRATION
Take a look at the administrative personnel of the agency. - DISCOVER PASS
A discover is required for vehicle access to state parks and recreation lands managed by Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. - HISTORY
When Yellowstone was set aside in 1872 as the world’s first national park, it marked the start of a new attitude toward the American outdoors. Citizens gradually came to see value in saving tracts of open space for everyone to enjoy. By 1900, three more national parks had been added (including Mount Rainier National Park in 1899), and a few scattered states had begun to develop public parks of their own. - RULES
Please observe state park rules so that all park visitors may enjoy their visit. Please note that the following general park rules are not customized for each individual park, so not all rules will apply to all parks (for example, “campsites cannot be held for someone who might arrive later” only applies to parks with campgrounds). - DONATIONS
Thank you! Your donations help to keep state parks open and programs available. - CONTACT
Available to answer general questions regarding state parks, Discover Pass, overnight accommodations, recreation programs and seasonal park closures. Additionally, if you have a complaint or concern regarding your park visit or park operations, please contact the State Parks Information Center.
